The annual Asia-Pacific Screen Awards were announced in Brisbane last night. The big winner of the evening was the Turkish/Hungarian (!) co-production Cold of Kalandar. Cold of Kalandar will be having screenings during the Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival currently rolling out as we sit, write and read. Given the multiple prizes, it is of some note that the film was rejected by the Sydney Film Festival for its 2016 program in June.
