The former Sandridge Hotel has been converted to a slick cafe open for breakfast and lunch with a luxury apartment block built on the back.

Breakfast for two was a 'very good' vegetarian omelet (mushrooms, tomatoes, onions) plus some nice bread and a couple of poached eggs, timed to warm and runny perfection on toasted sourdough.

Freshly squeezed orange juice and two good coffees.

Very nice.
